Overview
Zappos brought me in to work alongside their editorial and UX teams — elevating the photography program and ensuring every image functioned as both editorial content and interface design. Zappos Editorial — Warm White
Insight 01
Zappos sits at the intersection of editorial and UX — every image has to function as both content and interface. The photography program needed to span lookbooks, still life product, and lifestyle campaigns across dozens of brands simultaneously. The challenge wasn't just making great images. It was making images that worked at every scale: full-page hero, 300px thumbnail, mobile tile.
Insight 02
Still life product photography is where precision lives. Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B. collection, Harry Potter Vans collabs, Puma Kids — every product required its own logic. Lighting that reveals texture without killing depth. Composition that communicates scale. A consistent graphic language that made wildly different products feel like they belonged to the same catalog.
Insight 03
Fashion and apparel shoots introduced a different kind of complexity — children's coats, pajamas, outerwear guides, and seasonal hero campaigns all had to feel warm and human while remaining firmly on-brand. The work required real range: from hard-product precision to the looseness and spontaneity that makes lifestyle photography actually feel like life.
